
District Attorney William Clark Everett received
a B. S. in Business Administration from UNC Chapel Hill in 1977 and
a Juris Doctorate degree from UNC Chapel Hill in 1980. His legal career
began in 1980 when he was employed as an Assistant District Attorney
in Pitt County by the Honorable Eli Bloom. Everett continued his employment
as an ADA under the direction of the Honorable Thomas Haigwood in 1982
and was appointed Chief Assistant District Attorney by Mr. Haigwood
in 1992. In 1999, he was appointed District Attorney of Pitt County
by the Honorable James Hunt, and was elected to that position in 2000.
He was born in Greenville and attended public school in Robersonville
North Carolina. He has been married for 21 years to Elizabeth Green
Everett, and they have two children, Ellis and Hardison.
