Expert Witnesses
AOC has developed standardized fee schedules for paying expert witnesses. IDS is now required to follow a similar fee schedule as well. Court orders will no longer be needed. AOC form AOC-CR-231 indicates the payment schedule based on education and expertise as follows:

Additionally $10/hour if more than 10 years of experience in related field
Additional $10/hour if BLET certified
Travel Time and Court Waiting Time is paid at $50% of rate.
