Investigation and Prosecution of
Sexual Assault Cases
Sexual assault offenses rank among the most difficult crimes to successfully prosecute. This is due, in part, to common misconceptions about victims and offenders. This one-day course will focus on improving both the investigation and the prosecution of these difficult cases. Topics will include drug and alcohol-facilitated sexual assult, non-stranger rape, and new legislation, including sex offender registration and GPS monitoring and anonymous rape kit/evidence collection.
Prosecutors are encouraged to bring law enforcement.
