Victim Service Programs

Since 2012, the North Carolina Conference of District Attorneys has received federal grant funds from the North Carolina Governor’s Crime Commission to develop, implement and continue a program to assist the administrative professionals in District Attorney offices across the State. This program provides training, technical and research assistance, and consulting to legal assistants, investigators, and other administrative professionals statewide. Serving as a central resource for District Attorney staff regarding victim-related and other administrative issues, this program is vital to the function of prosecution in North Carolina. This program also provides victim support in conflict and special prosecution cases handled by the Conference of District Attorneys.

If you are a prosecutor, victim witness legal assistant, law enforcement officer or a victim advocate and you have questions, concerns or interested in submitting topics or articles for “Now Comes the State” the Conference’s magazine published several times a year, which includes legal updates, upcoming events and other training opportunities; please contact Megan Lively at 919-890-1500 or email Megan.J.Lively@nccourts.org

You can find additional victim resources on our Victims Assistance webpage.
