The Break the Silence course will focus on a collaborative approach to justice for older adults. This course will cover a broad range of topics focused on how to prevent the exploitation and abuse of older adults. Participants will leave with a deeper knowledge of the signs of exploitation and abuse, the practical skills necessary to prosecute these types of cases, and the ability to help protect older adults from these types of crimes in the future. This course will be offered twice this year, with slight modifications in the agenda based on emerging trends and new developments in the law.
Open to prosecutors, law enforcement, administrative professionals, adult protective services, and other allied professionals.
